HIDALGO CITY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Custom and Border Protection officers arrested a man from Reynosa in connection with the failed smuggling attempt of methamphetamine.
On Tuesday, May 21, CBP officers working the Hidalgo International port of entry encountered a black 2006 Nissan Sentra driven by male U.S. citizen who resides in Reynosa.
The driver was sent to a secondary inspection where the vehicle was scanned by a imaging system which detected packages concealed within the vehicle.
Officers removed 32 packages of alleged meth weighing over 32 pounds and valued at $485,000. The driver was arrested and the vehicle was seized.
