OJ Simpson testifies in hearing that will determine if he receives a new trial.
(NBC News) O.J. Simpson wants another chance.
Taking the witness stand today in a Las Vegas courtroom, he's telling a judge why his lawyers were so bad he should have a new trial and describing details about retrieving sports memorabilia.
Among his claims are that his lead attorney Yale Galanter never told him about a plea deal he would have taken, and that Galanter knew ahead of time about his plan to retrieve what he thought were personal items.
It's been close to five years since the former football legend was found guilty of bursting into a hotel room with accomplices and robbing two sports memorabilia dealers at gunpoint.
