BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A bill that would allow for temporary closures of Boca Chica beach during space-X launches now needs only governor Perry's signature.
That bill passed the Texas senate in austin. It had earlier won house approval. The governor says he will do all he can to help brownsville land that proposed space-X launch site.
The owner of the private space exploration company Elon Musk says he's ready to invest 100- million dollars in the project.. which would bring as many as 600 direct jobs to the Valley with average annual salaries of 55,000 dollars.
