Police confirm remains belong to woman missing since February.
(KARE) With eleven words, the uncertainty, ended.
"Today we can confirm that the search for Kira Trevino is over," St. Paul Police Senior Commander Brian Coyle told reporters late Thursday afternoon.
A person who worked at Upper River Services on the south side of the Mississippi River in St. Paul noticed something near the shore Wednesday afternoon and called 911.
That something turned out to be the body of Kira Trevino.
While it was the outcome no one wanted, it was the outcome that was expected.
Searches for Kira happened every weekend since she was last seen in February.
Jeffrey Trevino, Kira's husband, remains in the Ramsey County Jail charged with her murder.
His trial is scheduled to begin May 28.
