Texas Parks and Wildlife have surveyed the red tide that spread along the Gulf coast.
They confirm that the red tide bloom extends from Corpus Christi to Mexico and say dead fish can be seen in areas of Port Mansfield and Brazos Santiago Pass. It extends out into the Gulf to about 1 mile offshore and fish are being pushed on to the beaches south of the inlets.
