Two Houston synagogues tighten security after bomb threats.
(KPRC) Bomb threats at two different Houston synagogues have the Department of Homeland Security, Houston police department, the Anti-Defamation League, and the FBI on alert.
The threats were made to Congregation Beth Israel and Congregation Or Ami. Congregation Beth Israel said in a statement that the threat was received for Thursday, May 2.
"It's serious whenever any kind of a threat is made and I think that people are reacting to it in the proper way," said Dena Marks of the Anti Defamation League. "They're taking it seriously. They're taking proper precautions. They're trying to see that everybody is safe."
