BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Officials are holding a ceremony to mark the international boundary on West Rail bridge.
The ceremony will be on Friday, May 3, at 9 a.m. with County Judge Carlos Cascos, Brownsville Mayor Tony Martinez, the Regional Mobility Authority and Union Pacific officials will join the International and Boundary Water Commission to place a plaque at the official boundry of the West Rail Bridge project.
The plague will identify the location and position of the of the international boundry for every new bridge crossing built along the U.S.-Mexico border.
The West Rail bridge project is the first international rail bridge built on the U.S.-Mexico border in over 100 years
