PHARR SAN JUAN ALAMO, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — The PSJA I.S.D. is introducing a program that will dispatch messages to law enforcement in an emergency situation on school campuses.
The school district, law enforcement and city offiicals are supporting the CopSYNC911 service provided by CopSYNC which is an innovative sharing network used by over 360 municipal and county law enforcement agencies throughout Texas.
CopSYNC911 will enable school district safety officers and administrators to instantly send an alert to local law enforcement and the five closest patrol units when in an emergency or crisis situation.
The program will be implemented at all PSJA I.S.D. schools starting the next school year and there is no fee for the schools to use the program.
