WESLACO, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Weslaco police are investigating a aggravated robbery of a homeowner that happened on Sunday morning.
The victim, Juan Medina, called police to his residence, located on the 500 block of W. 16th Street, on April 14, about a man ringing the doorbell stating he wanted to sell him a home.
Medina opened the door and that's when the man and a accomplice pushed their way into the home with a handgun.
The men searched the home for valuables taking a gold piece chain, a .357 magnum handgun, gold watch, knife, a pocket watch and a woman's gold ring. Medina was ordered into a closet and suffered minor injuries during the robbery.
The suspects are described as both being Hispanic males, 5'8" to 6'1" in height, weighing 170 to 245 lbs., and driving a Ford Mustang.
