HIDALGO CITY, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO) officers at the Hidalgo International Bridge arrested a Florida man wanted on charges of sexual assault involving a child.
Officers working at the port of entry encounterd Ramon Cedano, 40, attempting to enter the U.S. as a pedestrian on Thursday, April 4th.
Cedano, a permanent resident, from Apopka, Florida presented his identification card and his name came back as a possible match to a warrant. The CBP database confirmed he had a warrant on four counts of sexual assault/lascivious molestation of a child under 12 years of age.
Cedano was arrested and released into the custody of the Hidalgo Police Department and be extradicted back to Florida.
