HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — A Harlingen man has been charged with three counts of child endangerment after police were called.
Police were called on Monday evening to the 1500 block of Washington Palm Road about a disturbance among several individuals. Officers made contact with a female who stated she had an argument with her boyfriend, Roberto Rodriguez, and he was intoxicated.
Rodriguez's girlfriend stated he was driving his mothers Dodge Durango with three children inside (ages 5,7, and 9) peeling out and driving off the roadway at a high rate of speed in the neighborhood.
Police were able to locate Rodriguez and after questioning him determined he was intoxicated and placed him under arrest. Police did charge Rodriguez with three counts of child endangerment and his bail was set at $69,000.
