PHARR, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — The City of Pharr has enacted its Stage II water conservation plan that requires residents to water following specific guidelines.
Officials ask residents with addresses ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 to water their lawns on Sundays and Thursdays, residents with addresses ending in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9 on Saturday and Wednesday within the hours of 8 p.m. thru 8 a.m.
City Utilities Director, David Garza, says the plan has been in place for sometime, but because of construction on the new water treatment plant, scheduled to be done by the summer, there will be strict enforcement of water conservation.
