Two days into early voting for the Texas Constitutional Amendment Election and voter turn out has been sluggish and problems are already popping up for one Valley voter.
War veteran, Ruben Cantu, says the polling site he voted at on Tuesday in Harlingen is not the usual polling site. He says it could confuse other voters and maybe stop them from casting their ballot. We talked to Roger Ortiz with the local election office he says they had to move polling locations to the fire station on Jefferson because the county annex building has been sold.
Local war veterans are pushing for you to go out and vote because, out of 11 propositions, number 8 would bring a veterans hospital to the Valley. Besides a low turnout election, officials say there have been no problems and things are running smoothly. Early voting ends October 30th and the election is November 3rd.
