Testimony started in the 107th district court, in the trial of Brownsville Mayor Pat Ahumada, who is charged with three felony counts: theft, abuse of official capacity, and misapplication of fiduciary property, this after a city issued check of over 26 thousand dollars, made out to a vendor in New York, was deposited in his personal bank account in October of 2008.
