WESLACO, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Weslaco police are finally getting answers from a stabbing victim as to how she was attacked.
EMS was called out to a home on the 2000 block of Corpus Christi Drive Sunday morning.
Police said Chelsea Garcia, 20, was found laying in the bathroom in a pool of her own blood.
The female victim was stabbed in the chest and because of the severity of the wound, she had to be air lifted to McAllen Medical.
The victim told police she was attacked in her front yard.
Police said the victim is still in critical condition.
On Tuesday, March 12, at about 2:15pm, two suspects were taken into custody, a male and female, when they were stopped south of Mile 9North on Border Ave.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear before the Weslaco Municipal Judge on Wednesday at 12:30pm.
