A Hidalgo county employee is behind bars accused of selling the county's dirt out of his work truck.
According to the Hidalgo county sheriff's department, 50 year-old Lazaro Young, sold 10 loads of dirt for $15 dollars each to a man in Edinburg on Wednesday. Investigators received a call from the precinct 4 office that a man who bought the 10 loads of dirt wanted to purchase more dirt. Officials questioned the caller who told them he knew other people in the neighborhood who also bought loads of dirt.
