There is preliminary evidence that last year's seasonal flu shot may have protected some people from the H1N1 virus.
Experts say that's no reason to fore go the H1N1 vaccine this year, researchers looked at data on 240 patients and say those who did not become sick with H1N1 were more likely to have received the seasonal flu shot the year before. The shot appears to have given some protection against the most severe forms of H1N1.
