Man steps in to help mother and young children get back on the road after surprise brake failure.
A young Oregon mother and her four children are back on the road thanks to a generous Good Samaritan.
Chassidi Papas and her four kids were driving around with almost no ability to stop safely.
"I was praying coming here, I didn't know what I was going to do," she said at the brake shop.
The damage to her brakes was extensive and the repair expensive, roughly $200.
"I couldn't afford the amount they were quoting me," she said.
"We weren't going to allow her to drive with the kids in the car, there was no way," added mechanic Al Slatosch.
As Chassidi and her kids prepared to tow their car and find a ride the man behind her in line spoke up.
"I offered to pay for it. At first she refused, I called her bluff and I insisted," said Mario Siguenza.
"You know this is a bit much, being on the news and stuff," he added. "We should all help."
Siguenza downplays his good deed, but there's no denying it had a big impact.
"It was a blessing from God, there are still good people out there. It's awesome," said Papas.
