Sharyland, TX (News Center 23) — A special Sharyland ISD school board meeting Monday night granted more time to Superintendent Dr. Virginia Richter.
Richter was hired as superintendent in July 2012 for a term of three years. This new vote will add one more year, making her superintendent until July 2016.
Richter said as a member of the community her role as superintendent is especially important to her.
She has many plans for her remaining time as head of the school district, including more advancement in school wide technology, paper-less schools, and more CTE classes.
