SAN BENITO, TEXAS (NEWS CENTER 23) — A Cameron County jury yesterday convicted Abraham Proenza in the 2008 starvation death of this four-month old nephew.
The San Benito man was found guilty of serious bodily injury to a child.
The jury was unable to reach a decision on a sentence this afternoon and will resume those deliberations on Tuesday.
Proenza faces uup to 99 years in prison.
