City of Harlingen chosen as lowest cost of living in the country

HARLINGEN, TEXAS (NEWS CENTER 23) — Cheap seems to be everyone's favorite word these days and the Valley is home to the city with the lowest cost of living in the country. The City of Harlingen was selected by the Council for Community and Economic Research says Harlingen was chosen because of it's cost of housing, utilities, food, healthcare, transportation and other miscellaneous goods giving the city the honor for the third year with the ranking.
