Giving up certain foods may be the worst thing you can do for a diet.
Dr. Glenn Kent is an Assistant Professor in the Health Psychology Program at Jefferson College of Health Sciences.
When it comes to dieting he warns against hard rules.
"They tell you what to do and what not to do and you have to eliminate things from your eating habits and your diet," he says, "...It is not good for us psychologically to be told what to do. Nobody likes to be told what to do."
