Sear's employees evacuated in store fire.

More than two dozen employees had to be evacuated from a department store at a local mall after an early morning fire.

Fire officials say the fire broke out in a stock room at Sears inside the La Plaza Mall just before 8am Thursday morning. Thrity-two employees working inside the store had to be evacuated and were not injured. Fire officials say the store had a sprinkler system which aided in putting the fire out and prevent it from spreading.

The store was closed most of the morning and no major damage was reported.
