"Monday morning a bullet was found in one of the rest rooms, at no time was any student in danger but it is important that you talk to your children about what item are strictly prohibited."
Manuel Casas has an 8 year old grandchild that goes to Perez Elementary. He received this letter on Monday.
The Brownsville Independent School District said that a .22-caliber bullet was found on the floor of the boys restroom on Monday by a student.
The student immediately gave the bullet to his teacher who forwarded it to a campus administrator.

"The best thing to do is hire more guards to protect the children from this."
BISD police are investigating how the bullet got into the school and where it came from.
