pharr, tx (News Center 23) — Pharr police, U. S. Border Patrol and several other law enforcement agencies bring down a stash house.
Twenty-eight people were taken into custody. Twenty-five of them are believed to be the undocumented immigrants. The other three are possible caretakers.
Neighbors said they had no idea the home was being used as a stash house.
"I was very surprised because we have never seen anything like that before. I live in front there and now that I passed through and saw that it really surprised me," said Maria Lucio, Neighbor.
Agents also found money and drugs in the home. The amount on both are unknown.
