"I would just like my mail delivered here instead of having to rent a P.O. Box, why should I?, I am not able to see to go get it, why should I have someone to go get it?."
This is Selene Saldana back on December 17th. She is legally blind and lives at the La Estancia Apartments in Sebastian.
A United States Post Office spokesperson says her and the residents at the apartment are not receiving mail because there is a not centralized mail system set up.
Currently they have to have a P.O Box at post office and get their mail from there.
When we spoke with the apartment manager a month ago they said they are were working on putting in mailboxes to get mail delivered to the complex.
"A month later we are back at the La Estancia Apartments, Thursday we are back to see if they have fixed this problem."
"I am here at your place a month later if you can tell me where we are?, Are you receiving mail? No sir."
Saldana says it's very frustrating.
"I can’t get any voter registration form my rights are being violated."
"We spoke with the La Estancia manager off camera and she says they did install some mailboxes by their office this week, while I was over there talking to her off camera I did see some mailboxes, however our camera was not on their property, and all other questions had to be answered by a phone number that was on their window."
We called that number and spoke with the Hidden Valley Management vice president, they own the La Estancia Apartments.
He says they installed the boxes and they have spoken with post office.
“They are in agreement and ready to deliver."
We tried contacting to the post office to see when delivery would begin. They did not return our calls.
