Ice climbers descend on Ouray, Colorado to test their skills.
Each year thousands of people descend to the southwest corner of Colorado to partake in one of the state's most extreme sports: ice climbing.
Ouray is considered the ice-climbing capitol of Colorado since it has a homemade ice park.
The park has 14 climbing areas, ranging from beginner to experienced.
"It's a lot of fun. It can be difficult, but it's definitely fun!" said Ty Kelly, a climber.
Kelly and his friends were visiting from out of state. Some of them had never tried ice-climbing before and found it rather difficult.
"It takes some of us 25 minutes to get up the wall, whereas it takes others about five minutes," Kelly said.
