A man who missed his court date attacked a Brownsville police officer who had a warrant for his arrest.
Police tried to arrest Cristobal Serrata at his Los Fresnos home on a municipal warrant, but when police tried to handcuff Serrata, he resisted and assaulted the police officer. He faces charges of resisting arrest, aggravated assault on a public servant and criminal mischief. The judge set his bond at $100,000 dollars.
