RIO GRANDE VALLEY — With the start of a New Year, HEB is introducing more ways to help customers eat and live healthier by offering cooking demonstrations from recipes printed in their weekly newsletter named Good News. In addition to recipes, the newsletter features healthy tips and coupons and HEB is setting up a nutrition labeling system throughout the store showing which items are healthy. HEB employee Marcie Perez stated, "What we are doing with the tagging system is to educate the customer and give our customer an idea of, "Where do I start?", "What should I look for?". If you have a situation which you need to watch how much salt your eating or if you need to omit gluten from your diet our tagging system can help you do that without any confusion."
