It was back to the books for students at the University of Texas at Brownsville.
On Friday faculty cleared the campus because of a gun battle between the Mexican military and drug cartel members in Matamoros caused for concern on the campus. On Friday afternoon a bullet made its way into one of the walls of the schools recreational center and another bullet hit a parked car near the Life and Health Science parking lot. No injuries were reported, but the campus went into a lock down and shut down classes around 5pm.
