It's reported that more than 2 dozen adults and children have been killed in the massive shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Parents here in Brownsville were eager to pick up their little ones after hearing about the shooting on the east coast.
"Nobody knows what can happen day by day but I feel for those people,I am sure they are going to pray for them."
Rolando Solis has two grandchildren that going to Sharp Elementary in Brownsville.
"They mean to whole world to me."
At 3:15 Solis picked up his grandchildren, thrilled to see them.
"How does it feel to see your grandchildren? It feels good to see them, my grandkids here at school and picking them up, so I can imagine how those people feel not being able to pick up their kids again."
Parents here in the Valley say they will be praying for everyone affected in the Connecticut shooting.
