BROWNSVILLE — A big congratulations goes out to the Hanna high school Chess team as they won first place in a national tournament in Florida. The team completed against more than fifty other high schools from across the country and B.I.S.D. Superintendent Dr. Carlos Montoya stated, "To do it well at the state level, but our students were able to do it at the national level and it does represent, just not B.I.S.D. or Hanna high school, but the community of Brownsville and it re-enforces that we really do have a very bright students."
