Beware of new Medicare fraud scams. Actually, new scams targeting seniors pop up everyday and south Texas is a huge for these types of schemes.
Senior Medicare patrol says "they see schemes all the time most of them involve people knocking on your door or calling and offering service. But no matter the situation remember one thing."
"do not give your Medicare number to anyone other than your doctor or his staff when you go see them."
If you do meet someone asking your Medicare number give the better business bureau a call they can help verify the legitimacy of a company or organization.
The better business bureau also can see if that company has received any prior complaints about service or if there are any government actions against the company
