Bird watchers descend on Florida island's beloved pair of bald eagles' new nest.
It's the time of year in Southwest Florida when seasonal residents return for the winter, but they're not all human. A bald eagle couple is nesting in the middle of a residential neighborhood on Marco Island.
"It's unbelievable when they're close to you just how big they are," says Marco resident Elliott Delman. "It's a gorgeous site, it's something that's very rare."
Captured by curiosity, Marco Island residents come with their telescopes and binoculars hoping to catch a glimpse. Every year the two bald eagles, Paleo and his mate Calusa, come back to the same spot on Tigertail Court to build a nest and a family.
