A former Cameron county sheriff's deputy is arrested for providing false information when purchasing firearms.
Special agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms arrested 31 year-old Esequiel Sauceda on Thursday afternoon. An ATF spokesperson says the investigation is still ongoing, so few details are being released. Sauceda is accused of presenting himself as the buyer of three firearms at a local sporting goods store even though the firearms were for someone else.
He is charged with three counts of providing false information in federal documents.
