Beachfront homes, hotels and other structures were heavily damaged or completely destroyed on Point Pleasant Beach.
The first floor of most beachfront properties were flooded and windows were blown out.
Plywood that was put up to protect structures is also gone.
Sand, three to four feet deep, covers several streets.
