Couple ties the knot, then leaps from West Virginia's New River Bridge as part of annual base jumping festival.
Hundreds of base jumpers converged on Fayetteville, West Virginia over the weekend to leap from the New River Bridge.
A diving board, a platform, and the newest addition, a catapult engineered by Jason Bell, were the three ways over 400 jumpers could choose to fall the 876 feet to the river below on the annual Bridge Day.
Among the jumpers this year, a bride and groom, happily wed on the platform before taking their first jump together as a married couple.
Bridge Day brings people from all over the world to Fayetteville and the New River Gorge.
Visitors spent the day repelling, rafting, BASE jumping, hiking, and even just enjoying nature and the many vendors on the street.
"This event is the only time people are allowed to walk on the bridge," said Bridge Day Chair Cindy Dragan. "It's also great publicity for this beautiful place."
