Third local victim of H1N1 virus identified.

There are new details on the third H1N1 flu death in Cameron county with the victims name being released.

The victim is identified as 30 year-old Eli Daniel Navarro and is related to Commissioner Ricardo Longoria Jr. as a cousin. Dr. Brian Smith says Navarro's past health problems increased the his risk of passing away from the H1N1 virus. Navarro was also part of a local band in the Valley and his family are planning a benefit in memory of Navarro and to get the word out about the H1N1 virus.
