MISSION — The Mission I.S.D. began a pilot program of tablet computers in the classroom for students on Thursday by purchasing the 135 Kuno tablets for the freshman class at Mission Collegiate high school. The tablets were made possible through a grant and the tablet will allow more creativity, fewer textbooks and individual access to teaching materials. Craig Verley from the Mission I.S.D. stated, "The teachers can push out all the materials through the student tablets while they're here on campus. Then when the student goes home, if they don't have internet access at home, they still have everything they need to complete their homework in their tablet already."
