The Space shuttle endeavor is taking the slow road to retirement.
The retired spacecraft started it's day at the Los Angeles International Airport, before heading out into the city. Endeavour is taking a two-day tour of Southern California's roads and highways before reaching its final destination at the California Science Center. Over the past 20 years the shuttle flew more than 123 miles in 25 flights. The shuttle became a museum piece after NASA ended its 30 year shuttle became a museum piece after NASA ended its 30 year shuttle program in July 2011. The California Science center has announced plans to display the endeavor on October 30.
