Mother Gets 99 Years For Beating, Gluing Daughter: Has The US Had It With Bad Parents?

The Texas Mother who beat her toddler and glued the child's hands to a wall was sentenced to 99 years in prison today.

23 Year Old Elizabeth Escalona's family sobbed in the courtroom as the judge delivered the sentence. Escalona faced probation to life in prison after pleading guilty back in July to felony injury to a child. Prosecutors has sought 45 years behind bars. Officials say Escalona attacked two years old Jocelyn Cedillo in September 2011 because of problems with potty training. Jocelyn suffered bleeding in her brain and was in a coma for couple of days.
