Sand Castle Days Wraps Up on South Padre Island

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND — Sand Castle Days, on South Padre Island, has wrapped up successfully over the weekend with three international sculptors taking the top spots. A tie for third place went to Edith Van Wetering from the Netherlands and Abe Watermen from Canada, second place went to Guy Olivier Deveau from Canada and first place went to Karen Fralich also from Canada. This was the 25th year the event has been held on South Padre Island.
