ARIZONA - The FBI says a preliminary investigation has found that a Border Patrol agent killed in Arizona, was a victim of friendly fire.
The shooting happened after agent Nicholas Ivie and two others agents responded to a motion sensors alarm near the Border on Tuesday. Two of the agents were shot. Ivie was killed. He was 30 years old. The BI says it's investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile last night the family of the fallen border patrol agent attended an emotional candlelight vigil in Naco,Arizona. A diverse group of Residents of the Border Community, Border Patrol agents as well as members of Ivie's Family gathered at a church to honor his memory. Nicholas' brother, Joel Ivie, who is also a Border Patrol agent shared what kind of man his brother was to the group that attended the vigil. The event culminated in a candlelight vigil, which was a symbol for the light he brought into the lives of those he knew.
