The joint effort towards health is extremely important especially when it comes to battling outbreaks of disease like West Nile and Dengue Coordinator Lauren Garcia stated, "Infectious diseases don't know a border as we do. They don't have to cross through Customs, go through Border Patrol, any of that. That's why it is very important to make sure our relationship is strong so that something does happen and we need to collaborate quickly we can do so for the greater good of the public health."
