HIDALGO COUNTY — The Hidalgo State Farm Arena announced on Thursday that it will be the home to the professional arena soccer league team the RGV Flash. Arena officials have been working with the league to bring a team to the Valley since 2005. RGV Flash owners say fans will be impressed with the show and speed of the game and the team will be holding tryouts this Saturday and Sunday for those individuals wanting to play for the team. RGV Flash Head Coach Mariano Bollella commented about the tryouts saying, "You've got to be really strong, physically, to play this game. So, it's very exciting, hopefully we're going to bring good players and put a good team together and show to these people that this sport is really fun to watch." The first game scheduled for the team will be November 17th at 7 PM against the Texas Strikers.
