A Chinese toddler is in need of a bone marrow transplant but due to lack of minority donors.
Jeremy Kong was just like any other two year old boy until June when doctors told Anthony and Alice Kong that their son suffers from a rare form of Leukemia and needs a bone marrow match by December.
"I just love him and adore him, yeah it's just hard to kind of see him and not know what's going to happen to him so," said Alice Kong, Jeremy's mother. Ruby Law with the Asian American Donor program is fighting for the Kong family. 25-year old Janet Lian got nearly 400- thousand views on YouTube after posting a plea for a donor online. Law says that was too long. Getting people to sign up for the registry has been difficult and the Kong's blame East Asian superstition. "They don't want to talk about the medical needs or what could happen, possibly happen- its don't say it or you'll jinx it or something," said Anthony Kong.
