MCALLEN — A passenger jet and part of the McAllen International Airport were evacuated on Monday evening due to a bomb threat. It was reported that a person called the airport saying there were multiple bombs within the area and as a precaution, airport officials evacuated the gate terminal along with an Allegient flight that had been boarded. Passengers and luggage were re-screened and the airport was swept for suspicious objects. Flight operations were back to normal and an increase of security was heighten the rest of the evening.
