SAN JUAN — Police have arrested three suspects accused of being involved in a string of car burglaries throughout the city. Arnold Serrato, Joshua Mata and Erasmos Alvarado faced a judge on Thursday after a victim testified to police that he saw the three suspects breaking into his vehicle and when he confronted them he was threatened with a weapon. Investigators believe the three men are gang members as Sgt. Rudy Luna stated, "Right now we are looking at regular gang activity because there were other vehicles not just that one that was broken into, so far we have three vehicles that were broken into by these male subjects and we are linking them to others."
Police have the gun used in the robberies and have determined it to be an air pellet gun. All three men have previous histories with burglary and now they are charged with burglary of a vehicle and other similar charges.
