MCALLEN — The first day of school is just around the corner, but before children can walk the halls they need to get their vaccinations and to make it easier on parents, the McAllen I.S.D. has set up a vaccine clinic all week. Parents can bring in their children, no matter the age or grade level, and get them up to date on all their immunizations. The school district says this is a great opportunity for parents as Director of Health Services Adalia Del Bosque stated, "One reason that I can think of, accessibility. We want to make this as accessible to parents as we can. So we feel that is an effective way to make parents feel like we are ready for them and we are up to the challenge." Parents will have to bring each child's immunization record.
