WESLACO — The Weslaco Wastewater Treatment plant is hoping for a forecast of plenty of clear skies and sun now that it's using solar panels for their electricity use. The U.S. Energy Department paid for the 1,300 panels and the technology will generate enough energy for the entire plant.
